Britain’s Simon Yates has withdrawn from the Giro d’Italia due to an ongoing knee concern.
The 29-year-old had received two levels in Italy, together with one after crashing on stage 4 to Mount Etna.
Nonetheless, the Workforce BikeExchange-Jayco rider has struggled with persistent ache and pulled out on stage 17.
“Regardless of every day remedy and Simon’s tenacity, the knee ache grew worse and worse,” group physician Matteo Beltemacchi mentioned.
