Miami (Ohio) to honor Rams’ McVay with statue


Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay, who received a Tremendous Bowl in February, will likely be honored with a statue in Miami University‘s “Cradle of Coaches,” the varsity introduced Wednesday.

There are presently 9 bronze statues within the “Cradle of Coaches” exterior Yager Stadium in Ohio, together with Paul Brown, Bo Schembechler, Woody Hayes and Ara Parseghian.

McVay performed vast receiver for Miami College from 2005 to ’07.

Based on the Journal-Information, work has already begun on the statue, however no timetable has been set but for its unveiling.

In February, McVay joined John Harbaugh and Weeb Ewbank as Miami College alumnus to win the Tremendous Bowl as a head coach.
